Instructions
1. Give your ning login above
-
Builder assumes you have the same Ning login on all
sites. Change your logins if you don't. Test that your login
is working ok by tapping the first login button - login again above it
it's refused.
2.
After #1 above, click all the buttons on the far right ('login' column)
to log in to all the various ning sites.
I've found it helpful when logging in to simply use the three-finger
technique (don't tell the girls about this super-secret technique!) of
holding down the Ctrl+Shift keys with the third finger poised over the Tab key.
After clicking a button to log in, I stab the Tab key which flips me back
to the Builder screen with the mouse pointer still poised over the
button I just punched. You can simply move down, click the next
button, tap Tab and keep going.
3.
Paste your headline, article, and tags in the large boxes at immediate
right, enter the post password and hit the 'Save Article' button.
This populates the buttons in the 'Post' column with your article.
Bug: go ahead and put your article body on your clipboard
now, you are going to need it in the next step.
Per the Ning standard, just
separate tags with commas.
4. Go down
the column of 'Post' buttons submitting your new blog post to each ning
site. Bug: Paste the body of your article into the
body section of the blog post,
(This may
apply to your article title instead of the body - look at the first
post, decide, and act accordingly)
roll down and click Publish. Do
this over and over until you have punched every button in the Post
column.
5. Congratulations! You just posted to a million
readers/activists.
(worth the minor effort, huh?)
Ning seems to
be building functions to thwart this sort of activity, so I don't know
how long this tool will work. I do know that you will have to wait
1 - 2 hours before posting a second article with different content.
When clicking the
last button for precints.ning.com, please check the checkboxes to tweet
and FB!
Want me to
add another conservative ning network to this tool?
